What's really weird to think is that, with all the college classes I've taken, I'm now just 6 credits shy of having 1/4 of the required credits needed to graduate.
...Meaning I've almost completed my full Freshman year of college, and I haven't even signed up for an Orientation date yet. If I take a couple summer courses, I could potentially graduate within three years!
In other news, I'm going to be a panelist at this year's Convergence, a scifi/anime/gaming convention that's held during the summer.
For anyone who doesn't know, a panel is basically an hour-long event where a group of people all meet to discuss a certain subject. Up to six panelists can preside over any one panel, and their job is to pretty much lead the discussion.
The panels I'm going to be presiding over:
"When is a stick figure not Enough?"
A panel discussing webcomics
"Growing up Geek"
A panel where young adults talk about growing up nerds
"Fanfiction"
Obviously, a panel about fanfiction
"Teen Anime and Manga"
A panel for teens discussing their favorite anime and manga
"What's Wrong with the Japanese?"
A panel about understanding the eccentricities of Japanese culture, instead of writing them off as being weirdos.
I'm also planning to exhibit my art in the Convergence Art Show.
Anyone who's attending Convergence this year should totally come to my panels and check out my art!
